What Every Membership Includes
At Studio of Austin, membership is not a vending-machine transaction. Every tier — from our entry-level Foundation pass to the full Personal Training track — includes an initial movement assessment with a certified coach, access to the member app where your programming lives, and a guaranteed coach on the floor during every open-gym hour. We don't upsell personal training as a separate world; we build it into the fabric of how the gym runs. You will be re-assessed every six weeks, and your program will be updated accordingly. If you have an injury, a competition goal, or a lifestyle change that shifts your availability, your coach adapts with you. Membership pricing reflects the Chicago market and the genuine depth of coaching attention you receive — not a discount-chain model, not a luxury-brand markup.

Foundation · $89/mo
Ideal for members who train two to three times per week. Includes unlimited open-gym access during staffed hours, the six-week movement reassessment cycle, the Studio app with your baseline program, and access to one group class per week. A coach is always present on the floor.
Most popularAll-Access · $149/mo
Our most popular tier. Everything in Foundation plus unlimited group classes across all formats, early-morning and weekend slots included, priority booking via the Studio app, monthly 30-minute one-on-one check-in with your assigned coach, and guest passes (2 per month).
Coached · $249/mo
Full personal training woven into your schedule. Everything in All-Access plus four dedicated 50-minute personal training sessions per month, a custom six-week periodization program refreshed continuously by your coach, nutrition check-ins, and direct messaging with your coach via the app.
Membership Questions, Answered Plainly
Is there a joining fee or contract?
There is a one-time $49 intake fee that covers your initial movement assessment and program setup — not an arbitrary admin charge. Memberships are month-to-month with 30 days' written notice to cancel. No annual lock-ins, no cancellation penalties.
Can I freeze my membership for travel or injury?
Yes. Members can freeze for up to 60 consecutive days per calendar year at no charge. Medical freezes (with documentation) extend to 90 days. You submit the request through the Studio app and billing pauses automatically on the next cycle.
What happens if I want to upgrade mid-month?
Upgrades are prorated to the day — you pay the difference for the remaining days in your billing cycle and your new tier activates immediately. Downgrades take effect on the next billing date. No admin fee either direction.
Do I need to be fit before joining?
Not at all. The Foundation intake assessment exists precisely to meet you where you are. Coaches have worked with members returning from extended inactivity, post-surgical recovery, and complete beginners. The program you receive reflects your current capacity, not an aspirational standard.
How are coaches assigned?
After your intake assessment, you are matched with a coach based on your goals, schedule overlap, and any specialist experience needed (e.g., post-rehab, sport-specific strength). You can request a rematch at any time — no awkwardness, no penalty.
