How to Reach Studio of Austin

The best way to understand what coach-led training feels like is to stand in the room. Studio of Austin is located at 1847 N Milwaukee Ave in Chicago's Bucktown neighborhood, two blocks north of the Damen Blue Line stop. Street parking is available on Milwaukee Ave and in the lot behind the building off Wabansia. Our front-desk coaches — yes, the person who answers the phone knows what a hip hinge is — can walk you through membership options, class schedules, and the intake process in about 10 minutes. We respond to all email within one business day, typically sooner.

Getting Here

1847 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60647. Two blocks north of the Damen Blue Line (O'Hare branch). The building has a terracotta-tiled entrance — you will recognize it. Bike parking is available in the lot; a rack for eight bikes is just inside the entrance.

Staffed Hours

Monday through Friday 5:30 AM – 9:00 PM. Saturday 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Sunday 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM. A coach is on the floor throughout all staffed hours — the building is never open without a certified staff member present.

What to Bring

Athletic shoes with a flat or low heel are preferred for strength work. A water bottle — we have a filtered-water station. A towel for equipment. Everything else, including a locker for your bag, is provided. No chalk restrictions during coached sessions.

Book a free 30-minute intro session through this page, by calling (773) 555-0194, or via the Studio app after creating a free guest account. Intro sessions run Monday through Saturday and are led by a coach, not a sales associate.

Quick Questions Before You Visit

Do I need to book a free intro or can I just walk in?

Walk-ins are always welcome during staffed hours — a coach will greet you and give you a floor tour. If you want a structured 30-minute intake conversation, booking the free intro slot ensures a coach is set aside specifically for you rather than splitting attention with active members.

Is parking available near the gym?

Street parking on Milwaukee Ave is metered until 9 PM on weekdays and Saturdays. The lot behind the building on Wabansia Ave is free and typically has space before 7 AM and after 7 PM. The Damen Blue Line station is a two-minute walk if you prefer transit.

Can I bring a guest to check out the gym?

Yes. Guests are welcome during staffed hours for a complimentary walk-through. If your guest wants to take a class, All-Access and Coached members each receive two guest passes per month. First-time guests who are not members can also book their own complimentary intro session independently.
